Location: Aylesbury
Main Contractor: Beard Oxford
Project Value: £65,000.00
Completion date: 2010
Background
John Colet School is a secondary school based on the outskirts of Aylesbury. Tapper Interiors was asked by Beard Oxford to carry out installation of suspended ceiling and partitions to the new building being erected on site.
Scope of Works
- Partitioning
- Ceilings
Critical Issues
Fermacell was specified by the architect because of its robust and hard wearing qualities which when installed combine the properties of solid blockwork with the speed and flexibility of conventional drywall techniques. However, because of these properties Fermacell is harder to cut and heavier to handle, making the installation more complex.
Tapper Interiors also installed acoustic ceiling tiles to help with sound issues at the school.
